Condolences

Joseph Harrow Laing

It is with sadness that I share the news that Joe Laing passed away yesterday.  Despite his advanced age, it always touches us to have to say goodbye.  Joe was a beloved member of the church for many, many years and he shared his gift of singing with us many times with a lovely solo.  We offer our heartfelt condolences to Joe’s family as they grieve the loss of this special family member and give thanks that our faith tells us he is in the arms of God.
The celebration of life will take place at Andrew’s Funeral Home on Dixie, just north of Birchbank/Orenda. There will be two visitations.  One will be on Sunday, September 17 from 2 – 5 PM, and the second will be on Monday, September 18  10 – 11 AM.  The Funeral will follow on Monday, Sept. 18 at 11 AM and will be officiated by Rev. Germaine Lovelace, Interim Moderator for St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Brampton.
With sympathy,
